During your appointment, a certified technician will cleanse the area and provide protective eyewear. The GentleMax Pro Plus uses a dual-wavelength laser system with a built-in Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD™) that sprays a burst of cooling mist onto the skin before each pulse, enhancing comfort and safety. You may feel a mild snapping or heat sensation—similar to a rubber band flick—but most clients find it very tolerable, especially with the integrated cooling.

To ensure the best results, follow these guidelines before your session:

Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment. (Avoid waxing, plucking, or epilating for 4–6 weeks prior.)
Avoid sun exposure or tanning (including self-tanner) for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Do not apply lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup on the treatment area the day of your appointment.
Discontinue use of retinoids, acids, and other active skincare on the treatment area 3–5 days before (face treatments).
Inform your technician if you're taking any medications, particularly antibiotics or photosensitizing drugs.

Post-care is important for protecting your skin and getting the best outcome:

Redness or mild swelling is normal and usually resolves within a few hours to a day.
Avoid heat exposure (hot showers, saunas, intense workouts) for 24–48 hours.
Do not pick or scratch treated areas if mild crusting occurs.
Use a gentle cleanser and SPF daily to protect and soothe your skin.
Avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen (SPF 30+) diligently between sessions.
Hair may take 1–2 weeks to shed after treatment—avoid tweezing or waxing.
