Frequently asked questions

How much does a tattoo cost?

The cost of tattoo is $150 per hour with a minimum charge of $100. Before you take the plunge and have your tattoo session, please meet with Kim and she will sit down with you to discuss your art etc. This consultation is completely complimentary. The individual pricing of a tattoo must be done in person, it cannot be done over the phone, through email or social media messaging.

Are walk-in's welcome?

YES, Walk ins are Welcome & will be addressed on a first come, first serve basis. Granted not every tattoo can be done as a walk – in due to time constraints, availability, or design needs, but we will do our best to work with you.

What if I have to re-schedule an appointment?

48 hours notice is required when you are needing to re-schedule your appointment. In order to Cancel or Re-Schedule an appointment you must contact Concrete Blonde at 780-416-4949 during business hours, or contact Kim directly. Please note: All messages left after hours will not be checked until the following business day.

How long does a tattoo take to heal and what can I expect during that time?

A brand new tattoo will feel like a sunburn during the first day or two. You should be fully healed within 2 weeks time.

What do I need to do after I get a tattoo?

The tattoo artist (Kim) will advise you on specifically what you will need to do after the tattoo. In general, until the tattoo is healed, you will need to protect the tattoo from direct sunlight, avoid prolonged wetness (swimming, bath tubs, hot tubs etc. ) and no direct sunlight.

Is it safe to get a tattoo?

Yes, it is safe to get a tattoo. Every tool and piece of equipment is sterilized. All tattoo needles are a 1-time use only – They arrive to us from the manufacturer in individual pre sealed packages.

Does it hurt?

Every person is different, but generally speaking, the anticipation of any pain is usually worse than what it actually feels like.

What kind of tattoo designs can I choose from?

Kim can provide you with her book of previous of tattoos – OR if you have an idea, bring in your rough sketch or picture and Kim can draw something up for you.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

You are required to be 18 years of age +, or accompanied by an adult or guardian.
